Looking for a way to create, schedule, and manage content fast? Hootsuite Composer and Planner work together to do it all. 

Follow along as we walk you through the process in under two minutes. 


Composer

It starts in Composer! Just choose where to publish to - and add your caption. 

If you’re posting to more than one account, edit the captions by network to @ mention people with the right username, or add different trending hashtags. Choose a preset to track your Owly link. Then add media. Hootsuite’s media library is stocked with royalty-free images and gifs, and you can add your own from the cloud, or from your computer. 

Make your content more accessible with descriptive alt-text on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn images. You can also add subtitles to Facebook and Twitter videos with an SRT caption file. When you upload a video, Hootsuite automatically formats it for each network. 

Composer also lets you narrow your focus and target your ideal Facebook and LinkedIn audience. You could show your Facebook post to anyone over 21 in Oregon. Or, surface your LinkedIn post to Sales Managers in Canada. To reach a bigger audience, promote your post! 

Publish it immediately or schedule it for later.

You can pick a time manually - or pick a recommended time based on what’s worked for you in the past.


Planner

When you’re finished with Composer, head over Planner to see all your scheduled, published, or draft content in a Calendar View. Flip through to see the weeks ahead -- adjust the view -- and select which day your week starts on. Planner also lets you easily organize scheduled posts - or create new ones.


Recommended times in the Planner are based on the data from all of your selected social accounts. Filter by network for more specific results - or by campaign if your Hootsuite plan supports it. You’ll also see your posts’ publishing status. Click to take a closer look and make quick changes.
